Question and Answer!

Does anyone have any questions about kawaii tips, 3D Decorations, nail paints or methods? Anything else just ask and ill be happy to help!

I can also give recommendations for good products to use :D

My New Nails! Woohoo!

After my recent Superdrugs Spending Spree, I decided to give my nails a rest from all things cute and kawaii, and keep it short and simple, but still with a splash of summery colour.

So here, I've painted my nails in Collection 2000 Hot Looks Nail Colour, in the colour 'Spangles'.

It's a tangy lime shade with plenty of shine, and at £1.79 an absolute steal!

How I prepared my nails:

1. As my nails had false tips, I soaked them off and gently removed any traces of polish and glue from before.

2. I filed my nails into naturally rounded shapes (my nails were already quite short and breaking due to the amount of force applied from the acrylic tips)

3. I cleaned my nails once more, brushing them and applying cuticle oil to soften the skin. I then applied a thin clear base coat to protect my nails from staining.

4. I applied two coats of varnish , allowing a reasonable amount of time in between coats for the varnish to dry. However these enamels dry quite quickly :D

5. I applied another coat of clear varnish and allowed to dry. I then applied my pretty Rhine stone decorations to the corners of my nails and allowed to bond.

6. Once the decorations had stuck, I applied numerous layers of UV and clear glaze to seal the colour and keep the nails strong!

Tips:

~ Wear cotton gloves when cleaning to prevent chipping.
~ Wear gloves when fake tanning to prevent staining!

I also noticed the striking similarity of this nail enamel to one of O.P.I's Shrek polishes... (will find the name)
It saves you over £8 too!

Collection 2000 Hot Looks Nail Varnishes

Ok, so I popped out to Superdrugs to get some baby wipes and the usual, and I came across the most gorgeous nail paints!

At only £1.79 they're a bargain!
They're called Collection 2000 hot Looks

They come in loads of cute colours like lilac, tropical blue, mint and banana yellow!

I can't wait to try out some new designs with these!

They work best with one or two coats and a top coat glaze, but not too much as it can spoil or go lumpy! :'(

And to add to the WOW factor...
Superdrug have a great offer where if you spend over £4 on Collection 2000, you get a FREE Hot Looks Varnish!

*mini rave*

^_^ let me know what you think!

Introducing... The Lili Gorgeous!

Here we go!
Here's a pilot design for a 'Princess Collection' I'm working on.

I originally designed this piece for my beautiful sister but decided I loved it so much I wanted to share it with you!

Ok, so the design consists of a hot pink enamel base colour (painted onto a French Smile Line nail tip) which was then glazed with a clear enamel.

I then added the 3D mini flowers and brightened them up, then added the 3D butterflies (so cute!)

To finish the design I glazed over the nail with a glittery enamel and allowed to dry for ages!

These nails would be perfect for a pretty, glamorous girl, who loves pink! The flowers and butterflies are not too 3D, so the overall look can be glam but not too OTT.

Let me know what you think in the comment box below :)

If the design catches on it might just become a collection piece!

P.s. Not the greatest photos, I know, but the best you can do with a phone like mine! Hahahaha...
